biography Firstborn of an Ishgardian Noble House, Rania underwent training from a very young age, beginning as a squire to an established knight, before being knighted and intensifying her training. After she turned 18 and graduated as a Paladin of the Holy See, getting assigned to their perpetual war against the dragons, Rania heard whispers of the ambitions of a foreign empire. Eventually piecing it all together, she realized the danger Garlemald posed, taking leave to join the conflict, a move that created rifts in her family, with her father disinheriting her in favor of her younger and only sibling, Annette.
Following the Seventh Umbral Calamity, Rania wandered for the next 5 years, after which she joined the fighting pits of Ul'dah, before retaking her oath as Paladin, encouraged by her friends in the Sultansword. After returning to her nation and helping end Ishgard's war, Rania moved into the Fortemps Manor, as her family already had ties to them.
After Lyse's confession, the proverbial cup overflowed and Rania left the Scions in a bitter note, fighting as Warrior of Light without their help, collaborating with the nation-states by herself.
